This session will present budget basics, an overview of private and corporate grant proposal budgets. Participants will learn what to include in a program budget and how to demonstrate your needs through comprehensive financial narrative. Examples of successful budget formats and sample budget templates will be provided. Discover what you need to know about putting the numbers on paper to win successful awards.

Presenter: Leah Nosek Jones, MSW, GPC – Grant Consultant
Leah has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade. She holds a Masters in Social Work and Public Policy from New York University. She also holds a Grant Professionals Certification credential through the Grant Professionals Association. Leah works as a full-time grant consultant in the healthcare and human services industries. She has extensive experience working with non-profits of all sizes, collaborating with front-line staff, directors and executives to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies and prepare complex grant proposals. Leah has successfully received over $5 million in grant awards from a wide range of national and regional funders including corporate and private foundations.
